CONVERSATION 147:

ClearVue looks for joint venture with Chinese construction company.

Windows that can sense when it starts raining and close themselves are now possible according to ClearVue PV's CEO.

Victor Rosenberg told me that the company's recent achievement of a 30 % increase in power output from its smart windows, which act as solar panels as well as functioning windows, means they can now add self powered AI driven software that can control a window in numerous ways:

  • Amount of light in

  • Close on rain

  • For commercial windows that light themselves at night - reducing internal lighting needs.

During my interview he explained that the increased power capacity, from 30 watts to 40 watts, also offers a financial benefit by reducing the time it takes to cover the cost of the window itself.

But with only three or four months of cash left at the moment and a tough market to raise money in, what does the future hold for this highly promising technology.
